Seems you do need the link tag for the favicon, otherwise https://... pages won't show the icon. But the link to the favicon.ico should be a plain http:// one, not an https:// one. Got that!?

Got back in again, so all seems fine. So, people, you can use favicon's on your neocities' sites!

What I was trying to do was get a favicon to work. And as you'll notice, the one I've added does show up in the browser. The odd thing about this though, is I didn't need the usual link tag (rel="icon" etc.) with it. Just uploading the .ico file was all it required. (In Firefox and Chrome, anyway.) I've not logged out yet though, so I'll try that now. If no more posts show up, then the favicon was the reason!

This is my third attempt at a neocities site. With the first one, (here: tornmind), I, perhaps, forgot my password. I'm sure I didn't forget it with the second one though, (here: tornminded), but I got locked out of it too. However, that happened while I was attempting to do something new, and odd things happened, and then neocities suddenly had a new look. So one of the possible reasons I got locked out was due to the site being updated. The other being due to what I was attempting to do.
Anyway, I'm going to try to do again what I failed to achieve before. If it doesn't result in me being locked out again, there'll be a followup post here. If, however, there isn't one, then what I was attempting is the cause of the problem! So here goes...
